Hiking Blue Lake Trail, North Cascades National Park

Blue Lake Trail, North Cascades National Park, Washington – 2021
We hiked this trail on August 1st of 2021 near the end of a terrible fire season that has closed the only thru highway in the Park. We were forced to stay on the western side of the park and drive in each day, usually a two hour drive. Blue Lake Trail is a heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Stehekin, Washington that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from July until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
