Hiking Skyline Loop Trail, Mt Rainier National Park

Skyline Trail, Mt Rainier National Park, Washington – 2021

We hiked this trail on August 8th of 2021 near the end of a terrible fire season. We stayed close to the southern entrance in Ashford. This was a great place to access most the hikes we able to work in. Skyline Trail Loop is a heavily trafficked loop trail located near Paradise Inn, Washington that features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and backpacking and is best used from July until October. (The YouTube video above contains trail location information and also tracks with elevation data)
