Recipe: Moist Banana Nut Bread
This will not last long, no one can eat just one!
Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Butter, softened
1 8oz. package of Cream Cheese, softened
2 Cups of Sugar
2 large Eggs
3 Cups of Self Rising Flour
3-4 Over ripe Bananas, mashed
1 Cup chopped Pecans, toasted or can use Walnuts
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions:
- Grease and flour two 8×4 inch loaf pans
- Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating just until blended after each addition
- Add flour to butter mixture, beating at low speed just until blended.
- Stir in mashed bananas, pecans, and vanilla.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until a long wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool on wire racks 15 minutes then remove bread from pans. Serve warm or cool.
