West Elk Loop Scenic and Historic Byway – 2018
July 15, 2018. We spent the entire day driving the West Elk Loop Scenic byway. It is shaped like a lasso that’s been dropped on Colorado’s pristine West Elk Mountains. We visited a quaint town called Marble and rowdy Crested Butte. We were treated with several rainbows, including a double! We also skirted the lower end of the Black Canyon.
